Join us for a refreshing walk through the gardens, exploring and getting to know some of the varied plants that are growing at the Arboretum. We will discuss traditional and folkloric uses of herbs from the culinary and functional to the magical and even spiritual. Humans have evolved alongisde plants and so our lives are very much intertwined with theirs; we literally would not exist without them. Discover the fascinating cultural relationships of humans and plants, both historically and in current times, and be inspired to cultivate your own relationship with them.
Some of the plants we will be meeting and learning about include: Yarrow, California Poppy, Sage, Rosemary, Violet, Mugwort, Artichoke, Elderberry, Pomegranate, Rue, Fennel, Blackberry, Hollyhock, Lavender, Calendula and Lemon Balm.
